Question: Who has copies and of which version?   Agenda Items: Sgt Gino Ciarmoli will be coming late Councillor Aidan Johnson will be coming late Approval of Minutes: Minutes of last official meeting not approved. Members who attended last meeting were not in attendance this evening. Bitcoin Presentation at The Staircase: Remarks were that the presentation was good despite the small turnout due to the weather. We can look at new venues to hold at The Staircase since their goal is to open more often. West Hamilton Seniors: This group was created last November, its mission is to create health and wellness for seniors in the area. They want seniors to able to address fitness, they have knitting and crocheting clubs, they play cards and board games. On Friday December 12, 2014 at St Joseph’s Catholic School, they are holding a Christmas event. The school choir and eukele choir will be performing. Turkey Rhubarb will be performing as well. Attendees will pick a table at the start and rotate from one table to the next when signalled. Each table will give attendees a quick summary of their topic. Cameras track east-west traffic only. City council decides where traffic cameras are placed. Will follow up with traffic safety officers know about resident concerns. Jonathan: Have asked for increased surveillance re: trucks driving through neighbourhood Gino: Any concerns re: truck routes, email me Deirdre: Had a meeting with Staff Sergeant Dave Henneck re: Mary’s Place. Deirdre has been trying to manage complaints and concerns from neighbours re: some issues with residents (e.g. yelling). Discussed implementing action team. Education piece needed – shortage of shelter beds for women; Mary’s currently offering 10 overflow spaces (30 beds total) until June. Ciarmoli sent notes to Jonathan: There was one residential invasion, did not seem random (targeted) and four break and entries reported (up from last month – could influence of be warmer weather).  There have been a rise in break and enters in student houses in the Westdale area.  There were two thefts from auto – reminder to keep doors locked and valuables hidden. The Anti-Graffiti project is underway, a coordinated approach being run by The City of Hamilton in partnership with Hamilton Police Services, the Clean City Liaison Committee, Canada Post, Crime Stoppers and CBS Outdoors. If you have any questions or concerns, you can always call or email Sgt. Ciarmolli Ward One Updates – Cllr. McHattie Boulevard Billiards, at 303 York has a new Liquor License Application, Johnathan has made note that they have new owners.  Cllr. McHattie will follow up with the development.  At the 100 Ray St. N. Development (lot behind Stonewalls), there has been no recent news.  At one point there was a tentative plan for a 30 storey condo, Cllr. McHattie has not heard anything recently. The Dundurn bus route has been scheduled to start Friday, June 20th.  Jason has raised affected residents’ major concerns seem to be focused on traffic calming.
