Strathcona Community Council – 2019 AGM

Hello neighbours! You are invited to the 2019 Strathcona Community Council Annual General Meeting. Here are the meeting details: Monday, November 25, 2019 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Erskine Presbyterian Church Hall – 19 Pearl St. North, Hamilton We will start the evening with the AGM business: approval of past minutes (please find the minutes here), approval of the Treasurer’s Report (to be presented in the meeting), and elections to the Council Executive. There will be vacancies in the executive, so if you are interested, please come and stand for election and help support your neighbourhood association have another great year of community events and outreach! Following the business part of the AGM, we will get an update from our Ward 1 Councillor Maureen Wilson, get an update from our Hamilton Police Services west-end crime manager, and get an introduction to our new HPS neighbourhood liaison for the coming year. Lastly, there will be a great presentation from the folks at the Social Navigator Program, a made-in-Hamilton program to help Police and Paramedics connect at-risk individuals with the health and social services they need. Strathcona Community Council – 2018 Annual General Meeting

Please join us at the 2018 Strathcona Community Council Annual General Meeting: Thursday, November 29 7 pm to 9 pm Erskine Presbyterian Church – 19 Pearl St. North Come meet your neighbourhood association, and find out how you can get involved! To start we’ll be covering the required business for the SCC AGM itself, where we’ll be approving last year’s minutes, the financial statement, and we’ll elect the council executive. If you are interested in running for an elected position (or being a member at large) on the SCC executive, please let our president know by email at strathconacommunitycouncil@gmail.com. At the meeting we’ll ask everyone running to just say a few words about themselves and why they want to be on the executive before our vote. Our incoming Ward 1 Councillor Maureen Wilson will also be there to say a few words before she formally starts her term as our Councillor. Unfortunately our outgoing Councillor Aidan Johnson will not be able to attend the AGM this year. Finally, we’ll have Sgt. Amanda Gill, the west-end crime manager for the Hamilton Police Service.
