Community meeting re Shoppers development proposal – King & Dundurn

King Street lane to be reopened – December 21st

Good Shepherd has advised that they will be dismantling the jersey barriers, traffic control measures and fences along King Street in front of Good Shepherd Centre on Wednesday, December 21st, during the day. Staff will also be making arrangements to return parking to Ray and Market Streets. (the south side of Market Street will go back to unrestricted parking with a short section of “1 hour Time Limit, 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday” and the west side of Ray Street will go back to a “2 hour Time Limit, 9am to 10pm, Monday to Saturday” parking regulation). Filming in Strathcona – December 19th

Staff have advised that the CW television action series “Nikita,” has scheduled filming for Hamilton during the week of December 19th to 23rd. Filming will take place in Strathcona on December 19th on George Street between Queen and Ray Streets. Intermittent traffic stoppages, special effects (gunfire and/or pyrotechnics) and late night filming are planned.
